Audio Soon
I have no idea what this is for but all I can tell is that the graphics are strong and the typography is as central as can be. There hierarchy is off because I find myself a little confused even after I figured out what's going on with the text. the use of greyscale is very powerful here and I hope it's fitting for the content that is on the CD because that is just as important. I think the stuff on the bottom could be spread out a bit because once again it's clustered and central. Other than that it's not bad at all.
Japanese CD?
Maybe I'm just ignorant as to how Japanese CDs work but I cannot figure out what is going on here, I Maybe the left side is the front and the right is the back but the front copy is bleeding through the spine and onto what I am now sure is the back of the CD cover. That's something that will need to be watched out for during this project because things could easily end up on the spine that don't belong either during printing or when you fold the cover itself.
Yamaha CD
The background for this one is really clean and brings life to the rest of the images and text. Everything feels organized and there's open space without the piece feeling too empty or cluttered. Good use of typography and organization.

Okay I get it this is a wedding photo album on a CD but it could use more typography rather than just the centered text that says their names and then the big disclaimer that is totally going to persuade people not to print these pictures on their own. It's just very bland and needs a lot more elements to make it as visually interesting as the photos that are on the CD should be.

Sample CD
This is a very light artsy case design and it transfers over to the CD well. That will probably be the biggest point of success or failure, being whether or not this design transfers well from the case to the CD. The one thing I can't figure out is if those little swirls are part of the design because they appear near the words at the same point. On the CD it goes off of the CD as if it's part of a watermark.
Centered CD
I like the use of the font here to fit the theme but oh my god is everything centered. And that's unfortunate because the cover looks really good but everything is pulled into the center. The CD looks a lot better and as a revision I would suggest to the designer to bring more of the look from the CD into the case itself typography wise.
Sample CD
For a sample design this is actually pretty cool. The bright colors on the dark background work really well at catching my eye. The typography fits with good hierarchy and the title pops out at me right away. There is a heavy use of black which might not be great for the printer but the overall design is an A.

Kiosks for convenience store food
Even though I hate getting food from a convenience store because I feel like I'm going to be sick the next day I have to say that Sheetz did well by putting a kiosk into the stores. The interface is very user friendly and easy to understand. Your total is updated on the right side of the screen so you know what you're getting yourself into. Even the pictures of the items look like what they are outside of the digital world. I can't quite find a single flaw with the system and I think that this is something that could be incorporated into fast food chains to make ordering even faster.
CMC Kiosk
The Community Media Center in Westminster Maryland just updated their dusty old sign in book in favour of an actual kiosk to sign in and out of the building to keep a record of who was there, when they were there, and for how long. the interface was very simple it could be controlled via the track ball and keyboard or touch screen. It seemed to have a lot of the default settings for buttons and such but it was simple and served the purpose. Something that I did not notice on the kisok itself was branding in terms of colour. it had that very basic look to it which made me feel like it was the UI as packaged and just modified from there.
